Rustam Minnikhanov tests a new autonomous vehicle “Yandex”

On July 16, in the city of Innopolis, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov tested a new autonomous vehicle "Yandex". The route ran along city lines and inside a residential microdistrict.

At the end of the trip, Minnikhanov noted the great prospects for the development of this type of transport.

“Autonomous vehicles is a very serious programme, all the solid international companies are promoting this topic. I was involved in the programme led by KAMAZ. We have taken a trip by electric bus this year, it was very pleasant. But today we have driven already in the city: along the highway and the micro district. I am impressed by the great success of Yandex. All this is Russian development - both KAMAZ and Yandex create autonomous vehicles of world-class level,” Tatarstan President underlined.
