Aleksey Pesoshin meets Secretary of Harbin City Committee of the Communist Party of China Wang Zhaoli

On July 9, at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin had a meeting with Secretary of Harbin City Committee of the Communist Party of China Wang Zhaoli.

“The People's Republic of China is one of the most important foreign economic partners of Tatarstan. We are always glad to see our Chinese colleagues in Kazan,” Pesoshin said during the meeting and on behalf of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and on behalf of Tatarstan Government welcomed the guests.

“I hope that the time held in Kazan will be fruitful and useful. I am glad that recently our relations are strengthening. The number of business visits of Tatarstan delegations of to the People's Republic of China and of Chinese delegations with reciprocal visits is growing,” Pesoshin addressed to the members of the Chinese delegation.

He also emphasized that the delegation has a very eventful programme of visit.

Thus, representatives of Heilongjiang province have already visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, where they got acquaited with the investment and industrial potential of Tatarstan.

Pesoshin also outlined a number of major projects that are currently being implemented in the region, such as the construction of Moscow - Kazan high-speed railway, project of Sviyazhsk interregional multimodal logistics center and Europe - Western China motorway  which part of the road passes through Tatarstan, and the republic has been actively involved in this project.

Prime Minister reminded that Tatarstan and Kazan will host a number of international events and activities in the coming years. In particular, WorldSkills Competition 2019, FINA World Championship on swimming on short water in 2022 and others.
