Rustam Minnikhanov meets Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev in Moscow

On July 2, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Russian Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, at which they discussed the issues of Tatarstan agricultural industry, harvesting campaign and implementation of promising investment projects in the agro-industrial complex.

The Russian Minister emphasized that there is a positive dynamics in the agricultural industry of the region. The share of the republic in the All-Russian agricultural production is about 4.5 per cent in 2017.

The agro-industrial complex of the republic shows good indicators in crop and livestock production. Much attention is paid to supporting farmers and fleet renewal of agricultural equipment.

Minnikhanov introduced the priorities for the development of the agro-industrial complex, in particular, the adoption of digital technologies. Patrushev supported the initiatives of the region on the development of the agro-industrial complex and the introduction of modern technologies.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov also took part in this meeting.
