Rustam Minnikhanov: Modern youth is the main competitive advantage of our republic

On June 27, at the Kazan Federal University, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the winners of youth federal competitions, which was timed to coincide to the Youth Day.

Before the event, Minnikhanov was briefly told about the achievements of the youth organizations of the republic, their victories at federal and regional competitions.

In particular, members of the youth government of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the 10th Congress of Youth Governments of the Russian Federation. The Youth Government of the republic was in the top ten in 2017.

The delegation of the republic took part in the 3rd Volga Federal District Intellectual Olympiad among students in Saransk. The representatives from 14 regions of the district participated in it. The regional team won first place in the Volga Federal District.

Moreover, the team of the republic won the Grand Prix of the All-Russian Student Spring Festival, which took place in Stavropol on May 15-20, 2018 and gathered 2,700 students from 80 regions of the country.

The representatives of youth organizations invited Tatarstan President to take part in the next forum of young citizens of the Republic of Tatarstan to be held on the 3rd of October this year. They also reminded that Minnikhanov participated in the very first forum of young citizens seven years ago.

Then, the participants of the event were shown a film about the achievements of the republic in the field of youth policy.

In his turn, Minnikhanov congratulated all activists of youth movements on the Youth Day. He thanked everyone for their active life position and for their glorification of the republic.

Modern youth should be educated, ambitious, result-oriented and is the main competitive advantage of our republic, Minnikhanov said.

“We see and appreciate success that you have achieved in the Volga Federal District and in the whole country. We are proud of you and put high hopes on you,” he said.

Minnikhanov also handed in Letters of Acknowledgement of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan to specialists working with young people.
