Tatarstan President meets the Turkish delegation

On June 26, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Head of the Turkish Investment and Construction company “Yapa and Yapa Inshaat” Zafer Yıldırım.

The company was founded in Istanbul in 1974. Today, it is one of the leading investment and construction companies in Turkey, implementing projects of urban and road infrastructure, residential complexes, office buildings, recreational zones, etc.

Opening the meeting, Minnikhanov congratulated the guests on the completion of the elections in Turkey and on electing Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the President of the country.

He also noted the dynamic development of trade and economic relations between Tatarstan and Turkey. According to the results of the last year, mutual trade increased by 40 per cent.

Turkey is one of the leading foreign partners of Tatarstan. A number of Turkish companies implemented their investment projects in the republic. Such factories as Kastamonu Entegra, Hayat Kimya, Sisecam- Trakya GlassRus, Coskunoz, Tirsan Kardan, Efes and many other are successfully operating in Tatarstan. One of the last joint projects is the opening of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and Coskunoz Alabuga metal centre.

During the meeting, the parties discussed possible options for developing cooperation and considered prospects for the implementation of joint projects.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic- regional Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, acting regional Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Aleksey Frolov and representatives of the regional ministries and agencies of the republic took part in the meeting.
