Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a national holiday Sabantuy in the Altai Territory

On June 17, during his working visit to the Altai Territory, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Tatar national holiday Sabantuy.

The event was organized at the Turquoise Katun tourist complex. Acting Governor - Chairman of the Government of the Altai Territory Viktor Tomenko and Head and Chairman of the Altai Government Aleksandr Berdnikov also took part in it.

Welcoming the participants of the events, Minnikhanov emphasized that nowadays Sabantuy is celebrated in 57 regions of Russia and 30 countries around the world. “Our country is multinational and multi-religious, each ethnicity has the opportunity to show its traditions, customs and culture,” Tatarstan President said.

Minnikhanov thanked the senior officials of the Altai Territory for hosting Sabantuy, and also expressed his gratitude to all who took part in the organization of the holiday and to Altai citizens, who made a significant contribution to the preservation and development of the culture and traditions of the Tatar people.
