Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in festive prayer on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

On June 15, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a festive prayer on the occasion of one of the main Muslim holidays – Eid al-Fitr.

Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of the republic Kamil khazrat Samigullin preached a ceremonial sermon and performed a prayer in the Galeev mosque in Kazan.

The Mufti read congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the end of the fast and the holiday of Eid al-Fitr from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.

In his sermon, Kamil hazrat Samigullin said that fasting during the month of Ramadan is obligatory, quoted the Quranic verses and sayings of the prophet Mohammed. In particular, the mufti noted that observance of the fast during the month of Ramadan is of huge benefit to human physical and spiritual state.

Then a festive prayer was held in the Galeev mosque.
