Tatarstan President visits the Höchst Industrial Park in Germany

On June 11, during his working visit to Frankfurt am Main, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Höchst Industrial Park, which is a major innovative chemical and pharmaceutical centre. Over 90 innovative enterprises, closely cooperating with scientific and educational institutions located in Frankfurt am Main, are operating in the industrial park.

There are 120 industrial enterprises and over 80 laboratories and office buildings at the park, where a total of 22,000 people are employed.

The complex occupies over 460 hectares and has a developed network of roads and railways. There are separate industries specializing in the recycling of industrial waste.

Leading chemical and pharmaceutical companies from around the world locate their production lines at the Höchst. The most famous of them are Air Liquide (industrial gases), Akzo Nobel (chemical additives), Allessa (development and manufacturing of chemical products), Bayer CropScience AG (plant protection), Cargill (biodiesel), Celanese Chemicals (chemical and acetate products), Siemens (technological design), Sanofi-Aventis (pharmaceuticals) and many others.

The annual amount of investments in the development of the park is 350 million US dollars. At the park, there is an institute, where employees are trained and educational programmes for improving their skills are being implemented.

Representatives of the Höchst also informed about the work with potential residents, training personnel, developed transport and engineering infrastructure established in the park.
