Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the awarding ceremony of the winners of the Regional Contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak chechekler”

On June 7, at the Pyramida Entertainment Complex in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn ceremony of awarding winners of the eleventh regional contest “Doctor of the Year – Ak chechekler”.

There were five nominations this year: “Health Legend”, “Best Primary Care Physician”, “Medical Worker of the Year”, “Unique Event and “Doctor of the Year”. There were three candidates in each nomination, with the exception of the Health Legend nomination. As many as 152 applications were submitted for participation in the contest in 2018.

During the awarding ceremony, the concert programme for the participants of the event was organized.

Minister of Health of the republic Marat Sadykov welcomed the guests and participants of the contest. He also awarded the health legend Alexander Dubrovsky, who first initiated mass medical examinations of population in Russia.

In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov especially honored the veterans of the healthcare sector. He emphasized that such summing up became a good tradition in the republic.

“You are responsible for the health of our citizens and perhaps there is nothing more valuable than health,” Tatarstan President said referring to the representatives of the sector.

He named the winner in the main nomination of the contest “Doctor of the Year-2018” - Rezeda Bodrova - physiotherapist of the hospital of veterans of wars in Kazan and Head of the department of rehabilitation and sports medicine of Kazan State Medical Academy. The winner received a statuette of the contest, flowers and a cash prize of 100,000 roubles.

All nominees were granted internships in foreign clinics, pads and computers.
