Journalists informed about the results of SPIEF-2018 for Tatarstan economy at a briefing in the Government House of the republic

On May 29, in the Government House of the republic, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov held a video-conference broadcast online with participation of all regional municipalities, which discussed the results of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF – 2018) for Tatarstan economy.

As many as 550 investment agreements for a total amount of 2.3 trillion roubles were concluded on the sidelines of SPIEF - 2018.

Apart from Albert Karimov, Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaykhutdinov, regional Minister of Economy Farid Abdulganiev were among the speakers.

The video-conference broadcast online on the Internet via the link from the main page of the Official Tatarstan website.

Speaking about the results of the SPIEF-2018,  Karimov outlined a number of important events and signed documents, in particular, a long-term loan agreement of Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company with a consortium of German banks, a special investment contract for the sale of a new model series of KAMAZ heavy trucks and agreements signed on cooperation with Uzbekistan, Moldova and Saint Petersburg.

In total, on the sidelines of the SPIEF-2018, Tatarstan delegation, led by President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, took part in 40 official meetings. Members of Tatarstan delegation had meetings with government authorities of Russian regions and a number of countries abroad, with the senior executives of foreign and Russian companies, Karimov concluded.
