Tatarstan President visits the Central Naval Museum and the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre

On May 24, during his working visit to Saint Petersburg, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Central Naval Museum of the Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation and the New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre.

The Museum is one of the oldest Russian museums and one of the largest naval museums in the world, marine historical and cultural heritage site.

For three centuries of its existence, the museum has collected a huge number of valuable items, reflecting the major events in the naval history of the country.

Director of the Museum Ruslan Nekhai told Minnikhanov about the history of the museum and a unique museum exposition, held a tour around the pavilions which cover the different stages of development of the Russian navy.

Minnikhanov made an entry in the Book of Honorable Guests.

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President visited theatrical and cultural complex “The New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre” - a unique multi-functional theatre centre, opened in 2013

The New Stage of the Alexandrinsky Theater is the most modern technically equipped theater of Russia, one of the main tasks of which is the introduction of innovative technologies into theatrical practice.

Minnikhanov got acquainted with the technologies, used in the work of the New Stage, the auditorium, the educational scene, and also visited the media centre and the theater's educational auditory.
