Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the opening of the new generation 5G network test zone in Innopolis

On May 21, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Minister of Information and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov, President of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseyevsky, Director General of Huawei in Russia Aiden Wu and Acting Director General of Tattelecom Denis Ulesov took part in the opening ceremony of the new generation 5G network test zone in Innopolis.

A brief presentation of the capabilities of the 5G technology was made for the guests and participants of the event. It was noted that the wireless communication has dramatically changed the way we live, and the 5G technology will totally change the digital economy.

Speaking at the ceremony, Oseyevsky noted, in particular, that the Rostelecom together with its partners, Huawei and Tattelecom, has made an informed decision to localize the test zone in Innopolis, where many companies are working to create new products, open startups, and can also offer a digital future to the whole country .

The test zone in Innopolis is designed to demonstrate the practical application of the potential of the 5G technology.

In his turn, Minnikhanov said that the 5G technology is a completely new digitalization capability, and without such an infrastructure it is impossible to realize the digital economy.

Tatarstan President thanked the partners from Rostelecom and Huawei companies for launching of the new generation 5G network in Innopolis.
