Rustam Minnikhanov visits Alekseevo municipal region of the republic

On May 20, during his working visit to Alekseevo municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues of the Russian Federation Airat Khairullin, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and Head of the Executive Committee of Alekseevo region Sergey Demidov assessed the spring sowing campaign in the region.

Upon making a helicopter fly over the region's fields, Minnikhanov met heads of rural settlements and agricultural enterprises.

Demidov reported on the sowing campaign and said that as of May 20, as many as 41,200 hectares of spring crops have been sown, which makes 73 per cent of the planned area.

Tatarstan President answered the questions of the heads of the enterprises, in particular, about the implementation of measures to support private farm households.

He also visited the livestock complex of the farm "Alga" and said that it is necessary to complete the construction of the complex.

Minnikhanov wished the farmers to complete the sowing campaign as soon as possible.
