Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the Kazan Marathon 2018

On May 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, General Producer of Match – TV sport channel Tina Kandelaki and Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport of the republic Vladimir Leonov took part the largest race of the Tatarstan sports calendar – the Kazan Marathon – 2018, which started in Millennium Square in Kazan.

Minnikhanov welcomed the participants of the Marathon and handed in the state award - the medal of the Republic of Tatarstan "For Valorous Labour" to the multiple world champion in track and ski racing of veterans, to the veteran of the World War II Akhmet Siraziev.

All collected application fees went to the support of a free family hotel “Ronald McDonald House” at the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital.

Then, Tatarstan President ran three-kilometer distance together with the other participants of the Marathon.

About 10,000 participants from 28 countries such as Russia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Germany, Spain, France, Israel, Turkey, the USA, the UK and India took part in the Kazan Marathon – 2018.
