Tatarstan President meets the leadership of the city of Xiamen

On May 18, during his working visit to China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Mayor of the city of Xiamen Zhuang Jiahan and heads of various sectors of the city economy.

"Our delegation is glad to be in Fujian Province, in the beautiful city of Xiamen. Thank you for the excellent organization of the itinerary of a visit for our delegation,” Minnikhanov said at the beginning of the meeting.

"Fujian is one of the most developed provinces in China. You are pursuing a large-scale policy aimed at supporting economic activity and attracting foreign investment. You have several serious economic and technological special zones. We expect that during this visit the Tatarstan and Chinese business circles will open up new areas for cooperation and agree on joint projects,” Tatarstan President said.

Summing up the meeting, Minnikhanov once again thanked the city's leadership for the assistance in organizing the business visit and expressed his hope that the meeting will give an impetus to further cooperation between the Russian and Chinese regions. Tatarstan President invited the Mayor of Xiamen City to visit the republic as the head of a business delegation to discuss further cooperation.
