Tatarstan - Fujian business forum held in China

On May 18, during his working visit to the People’s Republic of China, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the Tatarstan – Fujian business forum.

In his welcoming speech, Minnikhanov noted that the city of Xiamen and Fujian Province are among the developed Chinese regions, and thanked the forum participants for their interest shown in Tatarstan. He expressed his gratitude to the senior officials of Fujian Province and the city of Xiamen for their hospitality and assistance in organizing the working visit. "We will be happy to develop cooperation with business circles from Fujian province in various sectors of the economy and are looking forward to establishing constructive interaction. There is great potential for cooperation between Tatarstan and Fujian Province. Tatarstan has already signed four agreements on cooperation with the provinces of China at the interregional level, and now another four cooperation agreements are being worked out, including those with your province. We need to work actively together to implement it. I invite you to visit our republic,” Tatarstan President said.

Speaking about the economic situation in  Xiamen, Vice Mayor of the city Meng Qian noted that "our regions are very similar", and invited the Tatarstan delegation to attend the annual international fair to be held this autumn.

Then, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Talia Minullina and Minister of Information and Communication of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov made a detailed presentation of the investment and industrial potential of Tatarstan.
