Rustam Minnikhanov invites business circles of Tunisia to take part in Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Forum

On May 10, on the sidelines of the 10th International Economic Summit “Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Secretary of State for Economic Diplomacy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia Hatem Ferjani.

Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina and Ambassador of Tunisia to Russia Mohamed Ali Chihi took part in the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Hatem Ferjani conveyed greetings on behalf of the Government of Tunisia to Minnikhanov and congratulated him on the successful holding of the Kazan summit. The guest also pointed out the need for closer interaction between Tatarstan and Tunisia as part of Russia-Tunisia relations.

Minnikhanov supported Ferjani, adding that an action plan will be developed to enhance ties.

It was also agreed at the meeting that a business mission from Tunisia will visit Tatarstan in September. Among other things, entrepreneurs will take part in Tatarstan Oil, Gas and Petrochemical Forum. Moreover, Tatarstan-Tunisia business forum will be held.
