On May 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the progress made in the construction of the Dubravnaya metro station in Kazan.

Tatarstan President was accompanied by Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, Director General of Kazmetrostroy Company Marat Rakhimov and other officials.

Minnikhanov was informed that the main construction and installation activities at the station were completed. Now the commissioning and testing of the station's maintenance systems are underway.

Minnikhanov inspected the internal design of the station, and also appreciated a new way of contactless payment for travel using a mobile phone. Then, Tatarstan President went by train from the Dubravnaya station to the Prospekt Pobedy station.

"It is a very convenient public transport, very comfortable. No matter how difficult it is, but we are moving forward. Of course, because of weather conditions there was no time to complete the improvement work. However, the metro line is ready. I think this is a great gift for the Victory Day,” Minnikhanov said during his meeting with journalists.
