Tatarstan President takes part in the Tree Planting campaign

On May 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who took part in the Tree Planting campaign, planted two blue spruce trees at the Federal Sports-Training Centre for Rowing Sports in Kazan.

Minnikhanov visited one of the sites in the capital of Tatarstan, where the clean-up event and tree planting were organized. Tatarstan President talked to young environmentalists who told him about their environmental activities. Also, Tatarstan President talked to athletes - representatives of the Russian rowing team, who are at the training camp in Kazan before the competition to be held in France.

Like other participants in the campaign, Minnikhanov tied up a ribbon in a symbolic tree of desires.

The traditional nature protection campaign "Tree Planting Day" is held throughout the republic today.
