On May 4, the Eidos Group of Companies presented its promising pilot projects, including medical simulators and industrial robots to Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov during his visit to the Idea Innovative Technopark.

One of the co-founders of the Group, Director General of the Eidos Medicine Lenar Valeev said that the history of the Eidos Company began at the Idea Technopark with the development and production of training simulators in 2009.

At present, the company has withdrawn from the project, and the start-up has evolved to a group of companies consisting of four successful and modern organizations.

Valeev continued that in 2017 the turnover of the companies amounted to 750 million roubles.

The main activity of the technopark’s residents is the production and development of medical simulators. In total, five companies are involved in this activity around the world. But these are the simulators developed in Kazan that are used in one of the oldest medical schools in Japan - the University of Juntendo, he went on to say.

By 2017, proactive entrepreneurs have organized the production of more than 20 types of medical simulators that are delivered to the markets of Europe, Asia, the USA, South America and the CIS countries. During the meeting, Valeev asked Tatarstan President to render assistance in promoting the product to the Middle East market, where the promotion is closely connected with the state.

Minnikhanov was shown the production facilities and the assembly of the components, and was also demonstrated the work of the robotic department of the company, where Tatarstan President was presented a sample of a 6-axis industrial robot, the production of which is scheduled to be launched in 2019. At the end of the event, Minnikhanov talked to the staff of the enterprise and wished them successful continuation of their work.

In his interview with journalists, Valeev said that Minnikhanov was particularly interested in the industrial robot project. "During the meeting we discussed the opportunity of cooperation with the Rostec Corporation. We agreed that the project will be presented at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum at the stand of the Republic of Tatarstan,” he explained.
