Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a Presidium meeting of Russian Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development

On April 24, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Moscow to take part in a Presidium meeting of Russian Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development chaired by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

Before the meeting, Medvedev and his entourage visited Slava Technopark, established on April 2008, with 80 innovative companies specializing in biomedicine, robotics, instrument engineering, energy technologies and information and communication technologies located here.

The Technopark provides residents with research laboratories or design bureaus, metrological and technological equipment, scientific and technical consulting services. It hosts exhibition events, conferences, round tables on innovative topics, provides the development of educational and research programmes and the involvement of young people in the innovation sphere.

During the Presidium meeting, the participants discussed the results of the implementation of the National Technological Initiative in 2017 and the plan for 2018, the issues of creation of an innovation and production cluster in Moscow, the implementation of  Avtonet road map and the project of establishment and operation of the Skolkovo Innovation Center.
