On April 23, delivering a video-lecture at the Government House of the republic with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of government authorities of the republic, Executive Chairman of the Board of East Office of Finnish Industries, former Prime Minister of Finland Esko Aho told the meeting about an innovative model of Finland.
During the lecture, Aho reported on the project and implementation of the exciting system of innovation and on the potential problems of its development in future.
The speaker quoted Thomas Edison who said that “a vision without implementation is a hallucination”. According to Aho, this phrase is a good example of the way of working and establishing practice areas and goals.
He described the history of innovation development in Finland since 1917, when the country gained independence.
Today, Finland is one of the most advanced countries in the area of innovation that has proved by its example the role of a properly chosen technology development strategy for transformation of the national economy and society in a short historical period.
The speaker outlined the main directions of Finland's policy in the area of technological development with its efficiency proved in practice.
Aho is an Executive Chairman of the Board of East Office of Finnish Industries aimed at establishing industrial relations with Russia.
Answering questions during the lecture, he said that he visits Russia every month. According to him, Russia has chosen the right direction but it should not go it alone, world cooperation is necessary.
Aho also answered questions about the cooperation of universities with start-ups in the modern world.
