Since the launch of two-month cleaning and environmental campaign, as many as 470 unauthorized landfills revealed in Tatarstan, 70 per cent of them already liquidated

On April 21, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and all regions of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aleksandr Shadrikov reported on the implementation of two-month cleaning and environmental campaign.

The Minister said that cleaning up campaign is being held in all municipal regions and cities of the republic.

In total, since the launch of two-month cleaning and environmental campaign, as many as 470 unauthorized landfills have been revealed in Tatarstan, 70 per cent of them have already been liquidated.

As part of two-month cleaning and environmental campaign, as many as 899 decisions for 1542 violations in the area of environmental legislation have been issued.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov emphasized that we should give full attention to cleaning up cities and regions of the republic of wastes and unauthorized landfills.
