Two-month cleaning and environmental campaign started in Tatarstan on April 1

On April 3, speaking at a regional video-conference with participation of all regions of the republic, Tatarstan Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Aleksandr Shadrikov said that a two-month cleaning and environmental campaign has started in Tatarstan on April1.

During the meeting, Shadrikov reminded that the current year was declared the Year of Volunteers and added that they are the main assistants of the two-month cleaning and environmental campaign.

Shadrikov also reminded that the youth environmental movement “It will be clean!” covered 26 municipal regions of the republic in 2017. It is expected that the movement will cover all regions of the republic in the current year.

In addition, the regional forum of youth environmental organizations "Ecowave" will be held on April 14-15.

The minister added that environmental authorities will be reinforced during the campaign. The territories of the republic should be brought to meet the required environmental and sanitary-epidemiological safety of the population in two months.

Major emphasis will be placed on identifying the unauthorized waste location and its disposal.

Information on identified disposal sites will be promptly directed to the Executive Committees of municipal regions for taking measures to eliminate them.

Overland, water, air and railway transport is used to detect and prevent violations of environmental legislation.
