Rustam Minnikhanov discusses the prospects for cooperation with senior officials of the canton of Geneva

On March 23, during his working visit to Switzerland, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with President of the Council of the Republic and Canton of Geneva François Longchamp.

The canton of Geneva is one of the leading regions of Switzerland. The economy is based on the service industry, banking and financial sector, watch making industry, information technologies and other areas.

During the meeting, Minnikhanov and Longchamp discussed the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and the canton of Geneva as part of Russian - Swiss relations. The parties noted great potential for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation.

Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Trade and Economic Representative of Tatarstan in Switzerland Guzel Salikhova also took part in the meeting.
