Rustam Minnikhanov meets Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Olga Algayerova

On March 23, during his working visit to Geneva (Switzerland), Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Olga Algayerova. 

Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan nowadays is one of the leading regions in Russia. “We are aggressively working in terms of  investment attractiveness, building infrastructure for new investments. Besides, there are many projects in petrochemical and machine-building complex. Projects on new directions as IT and composites are being implemented. Much attention is paid to the development of small and medium-sized businesses”.

Algayerova noted the high economic capacity of Tatarstan and offered to develop bilateral cooperation.

The meeting discussed issues of the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in terms of development of public-private partnership sector, cooperation in the area of transport infrastructure, energy and other pressing issues.
