Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Geneva

On March 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a two-day working visit in Geneva (Switzerland), was met by Russian Ambassador to Switzerland Serhey Garmonin at the Geneva Airport. 

During his visit, Tatarstan President will hold working meetings with senior executives of a number of Swiss companies, including Ferring (pharmaceuticals), Burckhardt Compression (compressor equipment), Stadler (production of railway passenger transport), Sika (production of construction materials) and others.

He also plans to discuss prospects for cooperation with Vice-President of the Swiss Centre for Electronics and Microtechnology Georges Kotrotsios, Executive Director of the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Germany Markus Erger, President of the canton of Valais - Head of the Department of Economic Development of the canton of Valais Gilbert Loretan, Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs of the Council of States of the Swiss Parliament, Co-chairman of the Inter-parliamentary Switzerland – Russia Friendship Group Filippo Lombardi.

Minnikhanov’s itinerary also includes a visit to the Institute of Technology in Lausanne, participation in Switzerland-Russia business forum and a meeting with Tatar Diaspora of Switzerland.
