Minnikhanov proposed setting up a joint working group following the meeting to look into topics touched upon today and to determine the most promising areas for further development.

"We are actively seeking to work with Japanese partners. We have a lot of projects related to oil refining and petrochemical complex in general," Minnikhanov said. According to him, the proposals made during today’s presentation should be studied in more detail, since they are of interest to the region.

Moreover, issues related to increasing sales of alcohol products made by the local Tatspirtprom Alcohol Company in the Japanese trade networks were also discussed at the meeting.  In particular, cooperation with the largest Japanese distributor companies such as Suntory Group and Mitsubishi Foods is planned in 2018.
