On March 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed over keys to new office cars to employees of the Chief Veterinary Department of the regional Cabinet of Ministers, the State Breeding Service and the Union of Organizations of Consumer Cooperatives of the republic.
"Three departments have received new official cars today. It is very important. Almost a million people live in rural areas in Tatarstan. Personal farmsteads produce almost half of all rural products of the republic. All this requires adequate protection and support, especially from the veterinary and breeding services,” Minnikhanov stressed.
Tatarstan President noted that there are more than 500 sparsely populated points in the republic, which are located far from the main roads. To provide dwellers with necessary food products, trade is organized in specialized travelling shops.
"We will continue to support this area to develop a system of rendering services to our rural dwellers," Minnikhanov added.
A total of 48 mobile veterinary stations will be handed over to workers of regional and city state veterinary associations. The stations are equipped to provide treatment for pets and livestock. There is also a disinfection unit and other tools for emergency veterinary care in rural areas.
Employees of the regional breeding services will receive 23 cars, which will contribute to the improvement of breeding work and interaction between services and enterprises of the agro-industrial complex.
As many as 17 travelling shops have been provided for regional consumer societies for organizing travelling sales in small remote settlements of the republic without shops under the regional programme "30/70".
