On March 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with heads of the regional branch of the Russian Popular Front.

Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov noted the important role the Russian Popular Front plays in establising the public control system. He appreciated the work of the movement's activists, which has positive effects in dealing with problematic issues citizens are concerned about, including housing and utilities, the quality of roads, the accessible infrastructure for people with disabilities, the environment and other spheres.

Tatarstan President stressed that much work has been done in the republic in renovating the urban infrastructure and public spaces. In his message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin cited Kazan as a city that has successful experience in upgrading the urban environment and infrastructure.

Minnikhanov wished the Russian Popular Front to continue their active work in priority areas related to the people's activities. This particularly concerns the monitoring of the modernization of the primary hospital network, as Putin said in his message.

In their turn, heads of the regional branch of the Russian Popular Front submitted public proposals developed by the regional branch following the results of the projects implemented in 2017, expressing their hope that the authorities will consider them in their work.
