Rustam Minnikhanov congratulates skiers on winning bronze in the men’s 50 km cross-country skiing competition at the Winter Olympics 2018

On February 24, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov sent a telegram to President of Cross-Country Ski Federation of Russia Elena Vyalbe, Chairman of Dinamo Sports Society Asgat Safarov, President of the Tatarstan Federation of Ski Race and Biathlon Ilshat Fardiev, Rector of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism Yusup Yakubov, сoach-instructor of cross-country skiing Vladimir Malakhov and Andrey Larkov to congratulate  skiers on winning bronze in the men’s 50 km cross-country skiing competition at the Winter Olympics 2018.

"I congratulate you on a new Olympic  reward - the bronze medal won by Andrey Larkov in the 50 km cross-country skiing competition,” the telegram reads. “This is the most difficult, "royal" distance, and to be on the medal stand means to demonstrate the highest technical skills, the ability to accurately count strength, unique perseverance, endurance and the will to win. It is remarkable that the second place in this competition was also taken by the Russian skier Alexander Bolshunov. Many years of tireless work by Andrei Larkov, Alexander Bolshunov, as well as those professionals who develop skiing sport in Russia, have yielded worthy results. I wish you happiness, good health, good luck in sport and new great achievements for the glory of Tatarstan and Russia.
