The 100th anniversary of establishing commissions on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of Their Rights celebrated in Tatarstan

On February 19, at the Korston Entertainment Complex, speaking at an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of establishing commissions on juvenile affairs and protection of their rights in Russia, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov congratulated the participants of the event on behalf of the President.

It was noted at the meeting that the commissions have played an important role in tackling the problems of child neglect, homelessness and antisocial actions of minors. Now the commissions are an important mechanism for legal protection of childhood, coordinating the work of bodies aimed at preventing child neglect, juvenile delinquency, and protecting and restoring the rights of children and adolescents.

"The well-being of children determines the future of any country," Safarov said, delivering his welcoming speech. "And the establishment of a system for the exercise and enjoyment of their rights is one of the priority areas of the social policy of a modern democratic state of law."

Safarov expressed special words of gratitude to the senior officials of the regional Commission, who have made a significant contribution to the work of the Commission on Juvenile Affairs and Protection of Their Rights in Tatarstan.
