Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the meeting of the Bureau of the United Russia Party's Supreme Council

On February 19, in the afternoon, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Moscow to take part in the meeting of the Bureau of the United Russia Party's Supreme Council, held by its Chairman Boris Gryzlov.

The participants of the meeting discussed two main issues on implementation of 14 party projects in the regions and election of members of the expert group to assess the implementation of the projects.

Minnikhanov had earlier been appointed the Head of the Public Council of the Urban Environment project.

During the discussion of the implementation of party projects in the regions, the Tatarstan’s own project “Public control” as a positive instrument of work with applications and complaints of citizens was emphasized.

It was noted that the experience of Tatarstan, where the regional programme for the construction and overhaul of the cultural centres and rural clubs is being implemented, was also used in the project of construction and repair of cultural centres.

As Gryzlov noted, the party projects should increase their contribution to the development of regions, support the population policy, the technological growth, the new industrialization. It is also necessary to improve the coordination of the project work, provide organizational, methodological and other types of support to the regional and local branches.
