Farid Mukhametshin: Competitiveness of Tatarstan Agro-industrial complex depends on private initiative in the country to a large extent

Practical conclusions and relevant decisions will be made in respect of careless heads of rural settlements who admitted reduction of livestock.

Such statement was made by RT State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin at a zonal seminar-meeting on issues of increasing business activity in the country in Sarmanovsky municipal region. It has been a final event among zonal meetings dedicated to development of private husbandries and rural entrepreneurship in general.

Farid Mukhametshin accompanied by RT Vice-premier – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov and Head of Sarmanovsky region Nafis Zakirov visited agricultural fair in the centre of Sarmanovo settlement.

A plenary session of seminar-meeting took place in local house of culture. Heads of rural settlements, more than 300 people were invited to the meeting. “I hope all of you understand that we are doing a matter of great significance. Our priority is development of private households. Such task was set by the RT President in his Message to the State Council and it was announced at the IV convention of the Council of municipal formations”, Farid Mukhametshin stated.

Head of Tatarstan Parliament asked attendees to take seriously issues of support of rural entrepreneurship by means of programs realized by RF and RT governments. “Competitiveness of agricultural sector depends to your work to a large extent”, Farid Mukhametshin stressed.

Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov made the key report at the meeting. He emphasized 318 thousand private husbandries make great contribution in development of Tatarstan Agro-industrial complex.

Summing up, Farid Mukhametshin said he is sure the majority of head of settlements realize full responsibility laid upon them and a large amount of work to be done in order to increase business activity in the country.

Head of Parliament told about republican and federal measures taken to support private initiative of villagers.

State Council Chairman devoted the second part of day to working trip to Aznakaevsky municipal region. He looked over several social projects under construction and met with regional activists.
