Rustam Minnikhanov presents the experience of the Corporate University of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone at the session of the Investment Forum in Sochi

On February 15, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Sochi to take part in the Russian Investment Forum “Sochi-2018”, presented the experience of the Republic of Tatarstan to meet the requirements of the economy of the Russian Federation in qualified specialists in the field of industrial management on the example of the project “Corporate University of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone” at today’s session of the Forum.

During the session "Best Practices and Initiatives in Social and Economic Development", governors of  a number of the members of the Federation spoke about practices to create a favourable investment climate and development of entrepreneurship, the implementation of information technologies, the organization of the dialogue between authorities and business, the development of infrastructure to encourage self-employment of youth, volunteer movement and other.

In particular, Minnikhanov reported about the work of the Corporate University of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

The programme of the Corporate University was launched in August, 2015. The project envisages the education of the modern management for young specialists.

One thousand applications were submitted to the first admission of students to the Corporate University. Candidates were from different regions of Russia, not only from Tatarstan, and neighbor Bashkortostan, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, but Altai, Crimea, Moscow, Samara, Leningrad, Volgograd, Kirov regions, etc.

Tatarstan President also reported that part of students of the Corporate University stay to work at the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

He reminded that Alabuga SEZ today is one of the most developed economic zones in the country. As many as 56 resident companies are registered here, 23 modern production facilities are launched and operating, five-six new production facilities are put into operation at the Alabuga SEZ annually.

During the session "Best Practices and Initiatives in Social and Economic Development", such projects as joint with Sberbank entrepreneurship training programme for beginning businesspeople and Entrepreneurship Factory project, which had been implemented in Tatarstan, were emphasized.
