Rustam Minnikhanov gives an errand to repair the building of the Kazan Art College

On February 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov gave an errand to the regional government to prepare a programme for the comprehensive overhaul of a number of cultural facilities in Kazan.

The Feshin Kazan Art School is one of such facilities. Minnikhanov stressed that the building of the school is a unique architectural and historical object, a landmark for Kazan. The object will be carefully restored, without stopping the education process.

It is also planned to repair the building of the Saidash Cultural Centre, which is one of the most often visited cultural facilities built in 1971. Every year, about 600 citizens use the services provided by the cultural centre located in the Soviet district of Kazan.

The Said-Galiyev Recreation Centre will be repaired as well. Built in 1959, the facility is located in the township of Derbyshki and is an object of the cultural heritage of the Stalin Empire epoch. This centre has a long history and its own traditions.

Moreover, the Cultural Centre for the Railway Workers in the settlement of Yudino of the Kirov district of Kazan will also be renovated. During its 90-year history, this facility has become one of the symbols of the settlement, which marks its 100th anniversary this year.

At the same time, it is planned to complete construction works at the Chulpan Cultural Centre. This object is a concert-rehearsal base for the Kazan dance ensemble, as well as for the children's dance studio of the same name.
