Rustam Minnikhanov: Tatarstan and the Turkish Koç Holding have potential for cooperation

On February 13, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the Turkish Koç Holding, the largest industrial conglomerate in Turkey.

The holding company includes about 110 largest Turkish companies, representing such areas as power engineering, automotive industry, household electrical engineering, financial services, defense industry, construction, IT technologies and others.

As noted at the meeting, the Ram Dış Ticaret Company represents the interests of the holding abroad.

Minnikhanov said hat Tatarstan has rich experience of cooperation with Turkish companies, including the Koç Holding in the production of Ford cars.

Tatarstan President stressed that the Koç Holding operates in many sectors of the economy. The companies, being members of the holding, account for over 6.3 per cent of Turkey's gross domestic product.

Minnikhanov outlined a number of promising areas for the development of bilateral cooperation such as oil refining, machine building, agriculture, information technology, tourism and many others. "Tatarstan and the Koç  Holding have potential for cooperation," Tatarstan President concluded.
