Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov laid flowers to the memorial of Tatar poet Gabdulla Tukay in Moscow.

We remind Head of Republic is on a working trip in the Russian capital to take part in Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow.

In the event took part Head of the culture Department of Moscow Sergey Kapkov, Deputy Premier of RT Zilya Valeeva, RT Minister of culture Airat Sibagatullin, Art director of the State academic Maly Theatre of Russia Yury Solomin, Tatar intellectuals.

The memorial to Gabdulla Tukay was unveiled in Moscow in April 2011 (Zamoskvorechie, Novokuznetskaya str, 13/15) in the context of events dated to 125th anniversary of the poet.

The memorial was made in Kazan and gifted to the Russian capital from Tatarstan Government. The author is Salavat Sherbakov.
