On November 23 Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin visited Alekseevsky municipal region and held zonal meeting on issues of increasing business activity of rural population and development of minor husbandries.

In the event also took part chiefs of profile government institutions, Deputy PM - Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov, Chairman of State Council Committee for ecology, nature use and agrarian issues Valery Vasiliev, representatives of municipalities, chairmen of regional consumer societies.

Before the meeting Head of Tatarstan Parliament visited several objects, in particular a family farm, procurement station in Bilyarsk village. A plenary part of the meeting was held afterwards in Bilyarsk.

Head of the region Vladimir Kozankov made report about experience in developing minor husbandries in Alekseevsky region. Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov made the key report at the meeting.

“Now we have all conditions for stable development of private households, husbandry farms, other forms of rural entrepreneurship and animal husbandry. A set of real supporting measures has been worked out for the last few years”, Vice-premier said.

Summing up, Farid Mukhametshin marked the emphasis should be put on development of minor husbandries. This work cannot be fulfilled without participation of municipalities. He asked heads of local governments to be engaged in problems of population more seriously, every day, and facilitate development of households and cooperatives.

“It is very important to preserve rural population. By maintaining private husbandries we preserve rural way of life. Nowadays indigenous customs, language, spiritual values, traditional way of life of the Tatars, Russians, Chuvash, Mari and other nations of our multiethnic Republic are being preserved only in the country”, Head of Tatarstan Parliament stressed.
