Rustam Minnikhanov: Almetyevsk nowadays is an exemplary site for the implementation of many projects

On February 7, speaking at the Palace of Culture “Neftche” at the meeting of the Council of Almetyevsk municipal region on the results of social and economic development of Almetyevsk municipal region in 2017 and tasks for 2018, Tatarstan President said: “we see the role and importance of Almetyevsk as the oil capital of the republic”.

Before the meeting, Minnikanov and his accompanying delegation got acquainted with the exhibition of municipal vehicles, production of enterprises and institutions of the city and the region, small and medium-sized enterprises, agro-industrial complex of Almetyevsk region.

During the meeting, Head of Almetyevsk municipal region Airat Khairullin made a keynote report.

In particular, he said that Tatneft Oil Company, Tagras Holding small oil companies, SMP-Neftegaz, Almetyevsky Pipe Plant, ALNAS, Radiopribor and others provide stability of the economy of Almetyevsk as a modern industrial center of the republic.

According to the results of 2017, the gross territorial product (VTP) is expected to amount to 286 billion rubles, which has increased seven per cent as compared to 2016. The amount of shipped goods and services of small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 663 billion roubles.

Average wages increased by five percent. At the same time, according to the official data, there are 1180 citizens in the region whose income is less than the subsistence index. The task is to increase their wages, for this it is necessary to continue a constructive dialogue with employers.

One of the directions of increasing the well-being of the population is the development of entrepreneurship. The share of small and medium-sized businesses in the region's economy remained at the level of 2016, while the turnover of small and medium-sized enterprises increased by 13 per cent and amounted to 30 billion rubles.

As many as 70 kilometres of roads amounting to more than one billion two million roubles were repaired in 2017. Tatneft Oil Company provided great support.

“We see the role and importance of Almetyevsk as the oil capital of the republic. In particular, this is Tatneft Oil Company and small oil companies. All our major programmes, to a large extent, are implemented due to the sustainable activity of our oil complex, the oil industry,” Minnikhanov said.

According to the President of Tatarstan, "Strategy-2030" also implies the further development of petrochemical industries, and further processing depth is a priority. “Here is also an enormous role of Tatneft Oil Company, which has already invested in the TANECO complex over 300 billion rubles,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Almetyevsk nowadays is an exemplary site for the implementation of many projects, "Rustam Minnikhanov said. He gave an example of built in the city bike paths, in general, the development of bike culture.

Minnikhaniov criticized the agricultural area of Almetyevsk region and paid attention to such areas as health and education.

Today, during the meeting of the Council of Almetyevsk municipal region, Director General of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov was awarded the "Honorary citizen of Almetyevsky region". The people’s deputies decided unanimously to award the honorary title. Presenting the award, head of the Almetyevsk municipal region Airat Khayrullin, thanked the Head of Tatneft Oil Company for his contribution to the development of the city and the region.
