Rustam Minnikhanov meets representatives of Kohler Company

On February 3, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the Kohler Company (the USA) discussed the possibility of implementing a project for the production of sanitary ceramic products for bathrooms and kitchens in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone.

It was noted at the meeting that the company founded by an Austrian immigrant John Michael Kohler in the US state of Wisconsin in 1873, is one of the world's top ten manufacturers of sanitary products.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan is ready to provide overall support to the Kohler to implement the project.

Tatarstan President also reminded that the republic as one of the developed regions of Russia has a successful experience of cooperation with companies from Europe, the United States and other countries.

In particular, he said that he has paid several working visits to the USA.

We are interested in attracting American capital to the economy of the region and will be happy to expand mutually beneficial relations, Minnikhanov said, addressing representatives of the company.

Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov, Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina, Director General of Alabuga Special Economic Zone TImur Shagivaleev and other officials took part in the meeting.
