Tatarstan President arrives on a working visit in the Arkhangelsk Region

On February 3, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a short working visit in Arkhangelsk, was met by Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region Igor Orlov at the airport.

The main purpose of his visit is to take part in the opening ceremony of the Nur Islam mosque in Arkhangelsk. The visit of the spiritual leader of Russia’s Muslims Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin to the Arkhangelsk region is timed to coincide with this event.

The ceremony will also be attended by Governor of the Arkhangelsk region Igor Orlov, Head of Arkhangelsk Igor Godzish, representatives of the Council of Nationalities of the city of Arkhangelsk and the Arkhangelsk region, the Tatar national-cultural autonomy, traditional confessions.

After the ceremony, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin will hold a sermon to mark the opening of the mosque.
