Al Habtoor Group Company considers investment opportunities in projects in Tatarstan

On February 2, at the Governor’s Palace in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group Khalaf Al Habtoor from the United Arab Emirates. Welcoming the guests, Minnikhanov said he was glad to have a regular meeting and noted that Khalaf Al Habtoor visited Kazan in 2010. Tatarstan President emphasized that various delegations from Tatarstan often visit the Emirates and that fruitful cooperation is implemented in many areas.

“The Unired Arab Emirates is one of the most attractive partners for development of economic contacts,” Minnikhanov said. “Your country, nowadays, is a  prosperous State with strong and stable economy.

Minnikhanov reminded that he visited Dubai once again in the end of 2017, where productive meetings were held. At that time theTatarstan delegation also visited the Centre of development of the Islamic economy in Dubai.

We greatly appreciated the project and would like to implement it in the region, Minnikhanov said. We would like to implement the idea of halal way of life in medicine, food, lifestyle in general.

“Tatarstan is ready to cooperate in many areas. Your holding is one of the largest, the Al Habtoor Group specialists have proved themselves in the construction of the unique facilities, your solutions and approaches impress us,” Minnikhanov said.

Tatarstan President suggested considering investing in infrastructural facilities of the region, connected with construction of hotels and office buildings.

Besides, there is an opportunity of cooperation in terms of promotion of industrial products, produced in Tatarstan, including KAMAZ heavy vehicles, helicopters, products of shipbuilding,  pumping equipment, and also equipment for oil and gas facilities, he concluded. 

The Chairman of the Al Habtoor Group Khalaf Al Habtoor briefed about his company and intentions of investing in the region. He also told about the most promising infrastructural projects.

During their stay in Kazan, specialists of the Al Habtoor Group visited Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, saw the projects of the technopark in the sphere of high technologies. It was scheduled to visit the Kazan Arena Stadium and national heritage sites in the Old Tatar Settlement.
