Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in a summing-up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications

On January 30, at the Kazan Technical College of Information Technology and Communications, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolai Nikiforov and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a summing-up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications.

Before the meeting, the participants were introduced to the development of Tatarstan IT-industry for automatisation of social areas – economy, housing and utilities, health care and education.  Platform for automatisation of services lines and visualization of Aimee experts, remote monitoring system and dispatching of housing and industrial facilities based on Lorawan wireless networks, innovation network "Internet of Things", project on automatic measuring coordinates in GLONASS+112 system were presented at the specialized exhibition. The Tattelecom (telecommunication company) acts as a systems integrator of the project "Internet of Things". The first test section of wireless telecommunication network based on Lorawan technology was implemented in 2017. It is planned to implement the project across the region in 2018.

Deputy Director General of Development and Technical Support of Taxnet Company Dmitriy Chekashev told about the project “Electronic sick list”, which allows medical workers and sick people to save time and prevent possibility of falsifying documents.

Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov made a keynote report. He informed that on January 29, updated websites of Tatarstan Government, Tatarstan President and Tatarstan Ministry Information and Communications were launched. Besides, websites of ministries, agencies, municipal regions will be updated in the next few days.

Speaking about the systems of security of the people, Shaikhutdinov said that 52,000 video cameras help to watch over public order.

The Ministry plans to make available the viewing of pictures from all cameras, installed in the crowded places and on the territories of multi-apartment houses. At this moment, the cameras are being installed on estates of multi-apartment houses.

Shaikhutdinov also reported about implementation of project regarding installation of infrastructural supports for co-location of mobile network operators’ equipment.

There is increase of cyber-attacks directed at the State institutions and large industrial enterprises. There were over eight million attempts of computer impacts to the regional State information resources in 2017, the Minister said.

Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media appreciated the work of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications. He noted that Safe city system is successfully working in the republic. The most complicated crimes were revealed with the help of this system.

According to Minnikhanov, today, it is necessary to work on the feedback received from the Public’s Control System. He also said that there are many tasks which we should manage with.

A number of documents were signed during the meeting.

Tatarstan President and Director General of Russian Post signed approval protocol of concept of the programme for the postal development in Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov and Nikiforov attended the signing ceremony of the memorandum on cooperation between the Ministry of Information and Communication of the republic and Chinese Huawei Techcompany.

The agreement on cooperation in joint implementation of educational programmes between the Kazan Federal University and Huawei Company was signed.
