Rustam Minnikhanov meets finalists of Leaders of Russia contest from Tatarstan

On January 29, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with five Tatarstan citizens, who will represent the republic in the final of Leaders of Russia nationwide contest. Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov, Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Timerzyanov, Head of Tatarstan Presidential Department for public service and HR Aleksandr Belov took part in the meeting.

The aim of the contest, which started in October last year, is identification, development and support of the most promising heads-leaders. There were 200,000 applications for the participation in the contest, including 4500 participants from Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov appreciated the implementation of such events aimed at preparing of highly qualified staff in administration.

“The selection process is very useful. Being In a competitive environment, you can communicate with the other participants of the contest, find out what advantages they have and show your skills,” he noted.

According to Tatarstan President, getting into the final is a great achievement.  He wished participants from Tatarstan success in the final stage, which will be held in Sochi on February 6. One hundred best participants will be selected from 300 contestants. Regardless of final results, the republic is ready to assist five participants in terms of getting further education.

Russian President Vladimir Putin put an emphasis on training in managing. Putin noted that he pays attention to large-scale professional selection all over the country. He said that the fund allocated to these projects is intended for professional growth and development of young specialists.
