Chairman of RT State Council, Secretary of political board of Tatarstan branch of All-Russia political party “United Russia” Farid Mukhamethsin held meetings with trade unions of JSC “PO ElAZ” and NGDU “Prikamneft”, representatives of political and public organizations in Elabuga.

The meeting with regional activists started from the speech of Head of Elabuga region Gennady Emelyanov. He told about what had been lately done in the region, in particular what municipal programs were realized.

The speech of Chairman of RT State Council was dedicated to social and economic development of Tatarstan, priorities and prospects.

Farid Mukhamethsin stressed the influence and consequences of global crisis were tangible for the Republic, one of the main industrial regions in Russia. “Tatarstan exports more than 60 % products outside the country. Moreover, crisis affected engineering industry of the Republic. But due to considerable financial aid, help of RF Government and efforts of KAMAZ top management we managed to maintain the product market and service centres in other regions and countries. Thus, enterprise forming a company town was rescued. Besides, notwithstanding any hardships construction of oil-refining plants Complex “TANECO” continued”, Farid Mukhamethsin said.

According to Head of the Parliament, republican leadership has an optimistic opinion regarding prospects of housing construction in Tatarstan.

Chairman of RT State Council highlighted the important of preserving historical-architectural heritage of Tatarstan, and development of new approaches to inter-budget relations between federal centre, regions and municipalities initiated by the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
