On January 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the renovated policlinics of the Central City Clinical Hospital No.18 and G building of the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Centre.
Minister of Health of the republic Adel Vafin reported the President on the work of the policlinics. Then, Minnikhanov visited the department of functional diagnostics, where he was told about the specifics of the activity in the field of diagnostics and the modern equipment applied.
Minnikhanov was also reported on the stages of modernization of the Central City Clinical Hospital No. 18. Thus, it was noted that the medical facility provides medical care to residents of Privolzhsky, Sovetsky and Vakhitovsky districts of the city, which accounts for 480,000 people. Built in 1988, the building houses 380 in-patients beds.
Further modernization of the medical institution will make it possible to increase its patient capacity, to reduce the waiting time for planned operations, and to increase the people's satisfaction with the quality of medical services provided.
Later on the same day, Minnikhanov inspected the next stage of modernization of the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Centre. He was shown the X-ray diagnostics department, which has underwent qualitative changes this year. In particular, corridors and doctors’ offices have been repaired using modern composite materials.
Minnikhanov noted that improving the quality of medical services provided, the speed and availability of these services have a positive impact on the quality of life of the population, increasing the average life expectancy of Tatarstan citizens.
