Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in events during the World Economic Forum in Davos

On January 23, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in events during the World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland).

In particular, Minnikhanov attended the session on the Digital Economy, which discussed the influence of industry, government institutions and innovations on the future of the digital economy. "In Technology We Trust?", "Design for Smart Mobility", "A Glance at Global Science" sessions discussed how large-scale research alliances can strengthen science and promote broad international integration.

Minnikhanov also visited the plenary session with the participation of the founder and president of the World Economic Forum Professor Klaus Schwab.

Moreover, on the sidelines of the forum Minnikhanov held a number of negotiations. In particular, at his meeting with senior managers of Ericsson Company he discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.

Minnikhanov also had a meeting with senior executives of Indorama Corporation (Indorama). The company was founded in Indonesia in 1976. In the 1990's it started the production of polyester fiber, which served as raw material for the textile industry. Currently, the company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of polystyrenes, produces polyethylene, polypropylene, fabrics and medical gloves. Its products are delivered to more than 90 countries. During today's meeting, the issues of possible cooperation in the field of petrochemical industry, the implementation of mutually beneficial investment projects were discussed.
