On January 19, Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President’s Administration Asgat Safarov and Chief federal inspector in the Republic of Tatarstan Renat Timerzyanov had a meeting with five citizens who will represent the republic in the final of All-Russian Contest “Leaders of Russia”.

The Presidential Administration of Russia launched Leaders of Russia contest in October last year.

The aim of the contest is identification, development and support of the most promising heads-leaders. There were 200,000 participants from all over Russia and 4473 participants from Tatarstan at the start. The final of the contest will be held in Sochi on February 7-9, 2018. There are five Tatarstan citizens among finalists: lawyer Ilnar Girfanov, member of Kazan Federal University Svetlana Kotenkova, regional director of the company Aleksandra Lebedeva, training manager Marina Safonova and director of hypermarket Sergey Khruschev.

“There are representatives of various professions, spheres, fields of activity, representatives of business and  budgetary institutions among you. But desire to grow and to be useful for your country and your region is the thing that unites all of you,” Safarov said.

Significant prospects are being opened for those who had gone from the distance a little bit earlier. “During the contest you presented your capabilities for the whole country. Do not be surprised when you will receive interesting proposals,” Timerzyanov noted.

“Leader is not just a nice term. This is great responsibility, synthesis of best leadership. Leader is a person who can change the world for the better. Success of the start of any business for 90 per cent depends on who and how will manage the process,” Safarov said.
