Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in the Gaidar Forum 2018 in Moscow

On January 16, during his working visit to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 9th Gaidar Forum, which was held in the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.

At the Forum dedicated to the topic “Russia and the world: values and virtues” leading experts from around the world discussed issues of human capital formation and development, attraction of private investments to the area of public health, improvement of infrastructure of medicine.

During his working visit, Tatarstan President took part in the business breakfast “Investment in Public Health”.

In his report, Minnikhanov emphasized that quality of life of the people is estimated by many indicators and one of the key indicator is healthcare.

“If we are talking about the medical field, then we need to understand that to achieve positive results without serious investment in infrastructure will be very difficult,” Minnikhanov said.

“Special attention is paid to high-technology centres of medical care in Tatarstan. We have established 13 centers and could identify the areas, where we have problems and solve them,” he concluded.

Minnikhanov said that the improvement of primary medical care was an important issue of healthcare.

Over 400 new modular medical and obstetric well-equipped centres have been commissioned in regions of Tatarstan since 2012.

Minnikhanov emphasized that a separate place in these issues is given to information technologies.

Due to integration of IT into healthcare system, we managed to improve  the quality of service and to speed up the work of staff.

The Head of MasterCard Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Armenia Aleksey Malinovsky told about the experience of implementation of the project “Map of citizen of the Republic of Tatarstan” in Zelenodolsk (city in Tatarstan). The multifunctional card allows you to implement a lot of digital services. In particular, it contains payment and transportation applications with the contactless payment service and application for e-services, making appointments with a doctor and so on.
